Dr. Nahakul K. C. ; Executive Chairperson and Professional Lead
Mr. K.C. holds PhD degree from Rural Development Department of Tribhuvan University of Nepal in the subject of “Strategy of Poverty Alleviation Interventions in Nepal: Measuring Multi-Dimensional Approaches 2017-2021”. He has a double Master’s Degree in Community Development 1996-1998 and Public Administration 2010-2012 from the College of Social work and Community Development from University of the Philippines and IGNOU Delhi India.
He was Vice Chairperson of Lumbini Provincial Planning Commission to serve the provincial government and Chief Minister. He provides strategic guidance periodic plan and policy related to political economy, social, physical infrastructure, environment and governance establish or cause to establish project bank based on cost benefit applying various analysis tools.He led as a former Executive Director of Poverty Alleviation Fund Nepal. Over than two decades of professional experiences in Nepal, Afghanistan, Philippines and Vietnam. He served in the government senior executive positions, UNDP, DFID, World Bank, USAID/DAI/Social Impact. He leads various Civil Society Organizations as a founder board member and Programme Manager of Kamaiya and Health Programme. He has sectoral expertise of the Sub-National Governance, Poverty Alleviation, Management, Disaster Management and Livelihoods sector. He is having high level competencies focused on research, governance, planning, transparency and accountability. He was leading a ‘Development Think Tank – Institute for International Development (IID) which provides services for the SDGs localization, poverty alleviation, policy analysis and research study programmes. He has solid expertise in development planning, climate change resilient recovery initiatives, GEDSI and budgeting process. K. C. published his various articles in the newspapers and peer review journal articles about the “Measuring Multi -Dimensional Poverty Analysis in Nepal 2018” and Poverty and Financial Inclusion in December 2019. Sudan Kumar Oli, Ph.D. (Economist and Public Policy Expert)
Dr. Sudan Kumar Oli is a young and profound economist in Nepal. With a Ph.D. in economics from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, he has made significant contributions to the understanding of the Nepalese economy and public policies. His research focuses on economic development, human capital, financial deepening, climate financing, and social security. Dr. Oli has extensive policy experience in different capacities, such as the member of Provincial Planning Commission, a policy expert for the ministries, and an economist in different institutions. He is a frequent commentator on economies, climate finance, and public policy issues. He is currently and former member of Provincial Planning Commission of Lumbini Government of Nepal.
He has written more than 15 scientific research papers for national and international journals and over 50 op-eds in domestic papers and portals. Besides, he has also had professional working experiences of 10+ years with different public, partnership, and academic institutions, including the Ministry of Irrigation, the Ministry of Youths and Sports, NEAEC, the Asia Foundation, the Asian College of Management, CAMAD College, Rajdhani College, and Herald College Kathmandu. Dr. Oli has an expectation of rigorous applied policy research practice for the evidence-based policy reframe for socio-economic development strategy making in Nepal.

Sushant Vaidik:
Mr. Sushant Vaidik is an economist with significant experience across government and private sectors in Nepal, Malaysia, and the UK. He holds advanced degrees in economics and business from Malaysia, Norway, and the UK, including an MSc Economics from the London School of Economics, and has developed deep expertise in research, policy analysis, and economic development. In his recent role as Economic Expert advising to the Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Sushant played a pivotal role in key government initiatives, working with two consecutive governments, supporting the flagship Chief Minister Economic Development Program, budget planning and review, revenue optimization, and public-private partnerships. He has also contributed to high-level competition cases at RBB Economics in the UK working under the authorities in Europe and South Africa. He previously led strategic investment planning and market research at Thither Global in Malaysia.
Sushant’s core competencies include economic and social research, including data analysis, econometrics, and modeling, as well as project management, policy making, and collaboration with various stakeholders including the government. His work spans provincial and local government projects, fostering institutional strengthening, sustainable development, and economic growth, as well as in supporting private sector, specially the growth of startups. Passionate about advancing sustainable solutions, Sushant is committed to driving initiatives that promote evidence-based policy making, private sector growth, and good governance.
Kalpana Sharma Mishra; Gender Social Inclusion and Disaster Risk Reduction Expert
Kalpana Mishra, she holds Masters in Humanities and Social Science from Padmakanya Campus, Kathmandu, Nepal. 1997-1998. MPhil in Development Studies, Kathmandu University-2012. Post-Graduation in Gender Studies from Padmakanya Campus, Kathmandu, Nepal. 1995-96. She is Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) Expert Consultant for IM Swedish Development Partner, Economic and social impact during the Covid-19, November-December 2020; Local Governance (Revenue Improvement Action Program –RIAP/ UNCDF/MOFAGA) and GESI budgeting expert for PCGG/PLGSP Province 1. Capacity building on gender and social inclusion and leadership development of Institute for International Development. She conducted Project Evaluation for United Mission to Nepal (UMN), Gender and Social Inclusion in Public Health Gender Based Violence, child marriage in Okhaldhunga by United Mission to Nepal (UMN) district, December 2018. Social Accountability Exchange Learning Resource persons between Oxfam Myanmar and Nepal. Resource person Gender and Social Inclusion and SDG localization in Nepal. She produced her Master’s thesis about the SDG localization a case study of Belaka Municipality. She served as a DRR expert in Afghanistan working AKDN and OXFAM. She is livelihoods expert where she worked for Livelihoods and Forestry Programme of DFID Nepal.

Diensh Thapa holds Masters in Business Administration. He has in-depth work experiences in planning, revenue improvement in the financial sector. He is having long experiences more than 7 years in managing overall accounting and financial matters; efficiently conceptualizing and implementing accounting policies/ principles and tracking systems for various functional areas while ensuring compliance with accounting standards & procedures. Handling entire spectrum of accounting functions pertaining to formulation of various reports and preparation/maintenance/ finalization of various accounts & statements including Trial Balance, financial statements etc. in conformity with accounting norms.

Asha Ram Chaudhary; Civil Society Expert
He holds master’s degree in public administration from Tribhuvan University Public Administration Campus Kathmandu. his key qualifications are on project management: planning, designing, implementation, budgeting, human resource and logistics management, reporting, as well as monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) of programs and initiatives in the field of Humanitarian support, human rights, education, empowerment, good governance, child protection, social inclusion, disaster, and policy development. he has good facilitation and presentation skills & knowledge in development sector. He led more than 8 different projects. he knows very well about project logical framework, project impact, outcome, output indicators. he has good experience on preparation of project periodical and completion report with indication of project outcome indicators. He has totally learning attitude and willing to accept and face new challenges in professional career.
He has proven working experience in collaboration with local government as well as central government’s body of Nepal. He knows very well about Nepal government planning process. He contributed to developed economic recovery plan and DRR plan of local government. Beside these he has god experience to develop many kinds of policies and strategy paper of NGOs, civil society organization.
Muna KC, Programme Coordinatior
Muna K.C. is a highly motivated development professional with over 5 years of experience managing and coordinating projects focused on women’s empowerment and public policy advocacy. Most recently, she served as Project Coordinator for the “Power to Persuade” project at Nepal Disabled Women Association, where she oversaw all aspects of a project aimed at empowering women with disabilities to influence public policy. Muna has strong skills in project management, proposal writing, data analysis, and report writing. She is dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable and marginalized communities through participatory programs. Muna holds a master’s degree in public administration from Tribhuvan University and a bachelor’s degree in Community Development from Kathmandu University. Asha Karki, Research Officer
Asha Karki is a motivated and detail-oriented professional with experience in research, data analysis, training facilitation, and community mobilization. She recently served as a Research Officer at the Institute for International Development, where she conducted trainings, workshops, focus groups, and interviews with stakeholders at local and provincial levels. Asha has strong skills in qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis and documentation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Studies at Tribhuvan University. Asha is dedicated to supporting community development programs, especially for marginalized groups. Her strengths include building relationships, training facilitation, data analysis, and coordinating grassroots programs.
